What is jumping bomb angels?

The Jumping Bomb Angels were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki, two of Japan's top female wrestlers in the 1980s. They were known for their high-flying and innovative wrestling style, as well as their incredible chemistry in the ring.

The team made their debut in 1981 and quickly became one of the top teams in Japan, competing for promotions like All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (AJW) and World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

In 1987, the Jumping Bomb Angels made their WWF debut and quickly captured the Women's Tag Team Championship, becoming the first Japanese female wrestlers to win the title. They had memorable matches against teams like The Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai and Judy Martin) and The Dream Team (Velvet McIntyre and Fabulous Moolah).

The Jumping Bomb Angels helped pave the way for women's wrestling in North America and inspired a new generation of female wrestlers. They were inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996.

After leaving the WWF in 1988, the Jumping Bomb Angels continued to wrestle in Japan and around the world before eventually retiring from in-ring competition. They remain beloved by wrestling fans for their incredible athleticism and entertaining matches.
